Jemblem / Misro / Pulung-pulung Ubi (Indonesian Cassava Fritters Stuffed with Palm Sugar)


There are 3 different names for this cassava fritters stufed with palm sugar. Javanes knows as jemblem while Sundanese (West of Java) calls it misro (amis di jero -meaning sweet inside) and the Balinese calls it pulung-pulung ubi.

Cassava, also called yuca or manioc. There are two names for cassava in Bahasa Indonesia; Singkong and Ubi Kayu.
